This course aims to familiarize students with the research methods used in the classical Islamic sciences, as well as in Islamic studies within the Western academic tradition. It will explore the historical development of key Islamic disciplines, highlighting major scholars and foundational texts. Students will gain familiarity with essential works to which they can return in support of their future research.
